Soham Heritage and Tourism, members of the WW1 Soham centenary commemoration committee, have provided a small exhibition for all the pupils at St Andrews C of E Primary School, as part of their wider planned activities. Monday 16th saw original items and information displayed for their enjoyment.

Every child was given the opportunity to visit and handle items from the collection with eager questions asked, being answered by our committee members, who spent the day with them. The exhibition will remain at the school until the week of remembrance has ended, then it will form a smaller display in the main school foyer. After this the items will join others at the main commemoration event on Sunday 3rd August on the Soham Recreation Ground.

Each child was given a small gift of a coin or original regimental silk to keep as a memento of the occasion.
